Plastic Injection Molding
Injection molding is basically the process of converting plastic pellets (resin) into specific shapes by converting the pellets to a molten state, then, through tremendous pressure, filling a mold and then cooling the resin. The resulting plastic object is removed from the mold, and retains the shape intended. There are many varieties of plastic materials that are injection moldable. Each has unique characteristics, and is usually selected for the performance characteristics of the intended end-use of the plastic product.
